My work brings together the things that have shaped me throughout my life — creativity, movement, mindfulness, nature and learning.
I am a qualified teacher, practising artist and qualified yoga teacher, with training in dramatherapy and therapeutic and creative approaches.
Over the years, I have worked with children, young people and adults in schools, community settings and through individual work. I am interested in the ways creativity and mindful practices can help us feel more connected, confident and able to explore our own experience.
At the heart of my work is a simple belief: we all need space to pause, to be ourselves and to discover what helps us flourish.
This is the inspiration behind Reset Restore Rebalance.
I am based in Glastonbury, also known as the Isle of Avalon, and the landscape around me is an important source of inspiration.
The Tor, the surrounding countryside and the rich cultural and mythological heritage of this place all find their way into my creative practice.
I am particularly drawn to nature, symbolism and the imaginative world — including birds, myth and archetypal forms. Barn owls are a particular favourite, with their qualities of stillness, perception and quiet presence.
Through painting and creative exploration, I try to capture something of the essence of what I see and experience rather than simply reproducing an image.
Nature also influences the way I work with people. I believe that creativity and connection with the natural world can offer valuable opportunities to slow down, reflect and restore.
I was born in the Midlands and studied English with Related Studies at Bretton Hall College in Yorkshire, where I also explored photography and visual language.
I later trained as a teacher in Warwickshire and worked in Devon while completing my training in dramatherapy.
Over the years I have lived and worked in different parts of the UK, including Wales, Scotland and Somerset, and have travelled widely. These experiences have shaped the way I see the world and continue to influence both my teaching and creative practice.
Alongside my professional work, I have continued to develop my own painting practice, exploring different media and gradually evolving my visual style through curiosity, experimentation and a love of the natural world.
Today, my work brings these different strands together.
Art. Movement. Mindfulness. Nature.
Different pathways, but all with the same intention:
