My artwork is inspired by the natural world, the landscape around me and the imaginative and symbolic worlds that sit alongside it.
Living in Glastonbury, the landscape and atmosphere of the Isle of Avalon are a constant source of inspiration. I am drawn to the Tor, the surrounding countryside, birds, plants, myth and the subtle details of the natural world.
My work explores colour, texture, atmosphere and symbolism, often beginning with something observed in nature and developing through experimentation and imagination.
I work across a range of media including watercolour, pen and ink, water-mixable oils and mixed media.
I am particularly interested in capturing the feeling or essence of a place rather than simply reproducing what I see.
The landscapes around Glastonbury and Somerset provide an endless source of inspiration, from changing skies and ancient landscapes to the small details found in hedgerows, gardens and woodland.
Birds feature frequently in my work.
I am especially drawn to barn owls and their qualities of stillness, perception and quiet presence.
I enjoy exploring birds not simply as subjects, but as symbols and characters within a wider imaginative landscape.
My creative practice is also influenced by mythology, symbolism and the imaginative world.
Glastonbury's rich cultural heritage and its associations with Avalon, legend and myth provide a particularly fertile source of inspiration.
These themes often appear alongside natural forms, allowing the work to move between observation and imagination.
Alongside my paintings and illustrations, I create small booklets based on messages I have received directly from nature spirits.
I illustrate each booklet myself, bringing together the messages and my artwork as an expression of my connection with the natural world.
These booklets are a personal part of my creative practice and reflect my interest in nature, spirit, symbolism and our connection with the living world.

If you would like to talk about a commission, please get in touch.
Creativity is also an important part of my wider wellbeing work.
I believe that making art can offer a space to slow down, become absorbed in the present moment and explore without judgement.
Through my creative wellbeing workshops, I invite others to experience some of the same sense of curiosity and connection that I find through my own creative practice.
